AUTHOR OF THE FALL CAST DOWN TO HELL 2PE 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; JUD 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. CHARACTER OF COWARDLY JAM 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. CHARACTER OF POWERFUL EPH 2:2 Wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience: EPH 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. CHARACTER OF PRESUMPTUOUS JOB 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. CHARACTER OF WICKED 1JO 2:13 I write unto you, fathers, because you have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because you have known the Father. COMPARED TO A FOWLER PSA 91:3 Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. COMPARED TO FOWLS MAT 13:4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: COMPARED TO A ROARING LION PSA 5:8 Lead me, O Lord, in you righteousness because of mine enemies; make you way straight before my face. EVERLASTING FIRE IS PREPARED FOR MAT 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: HINDERS THE GOSPEL MAT 13:19 When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. SAINTS ARE SIFTED BY LUK 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: SAINTS ARE TEMPTED BY 1CH 21:1 And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel. 1TH 3:5 For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labor be in vain. SAINTS SHOULD BE ARMED AGAINST EPH 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. EPH 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. EPH 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. EPH 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; EPH 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; EPH 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. SAINTS SHOULD BE WATCHFUL AGAINST 2CO 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. SAINTS SHOULD RESIST JAM 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 1PE 5:9 Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. MAT 4:10 Then saith Yeshua unto him, Get you hence, Satan: for it is written, You will worship the Lord you God, and him only will you serve. TRIUMPH OVER, BY THE MESSIAH, COMPLETED BY HIS DEATH COL 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. HEB 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; TRIUMPH OVER, BY THE MESSIAH, ILLUSTRATED LUK 11:21 When a strong man armed keeps his palace, his goods are in peace: LUK 11:22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armor wherein he trusted, and divides his spoils. TRIUMPH OVER, BY THE MESSIAH, IN CASTING OUT THE SPIRITS OF LUK 11:20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. LUK 13:32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, You will persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. REV 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, REV 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. THE WICKED ARE ENSNARED BY 1TI 3:7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. 2TI 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. THE WICKED ARE POSSED BY LUK 22:3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. THE WICKED DO THE LUSTS OF JOH 8:44 you are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. THE WICKED TURN ASIDE AFTER 1TI 5:15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.
